Are you in the market for a new HDTV or Surround system?

Would you like to stream your Hulu or Netflix directly from your display?

Don’t know the difference between Oled and LCD? No problem let us help you make those decisions.

  1. Pick a Location

To have a practical home theater, you must have room for a home theater, your living room may be suitable for a large display so don’t discount your living room. Ideally, you want a room that’s at least 15 feet long and 12 feet wide. Ideally a basement or rec room will give you the best setting but not a deal breaker.

  1. Display size

One of the key elements to a home theater is the video experience. Displays come in many sizes but a good start is a 65-inch 4K UHD, these can sell for $600-$3000 not including installation, and the wall bracket. Installation starts at $249.00-$1,000.00 for a basic installation with a sound bar. Electrical connections will be required and are extra, and is recommended to use a trusted electrician to install power if needed.

  1. Surround Sound

A traditional home theater surround sound system is seven channel speakers and a subwoofer. Speaker placement usually consists of Center, Left & Right, Side Surround, & rear Surround speakers. Most home theaters can be effectively designed using a hi fidelity sound bar if your budget will not allow for a full surround system.

  1. Install Lighting

One widely available lighting system for a home theater consists of lighting that can be dimmed using multiple levels such as the Phillips Hue system, it can be operated by an Android or IOS device. This is by far not the only system available but it has a huge following and is very cost effective.

  1. Pick lightning protection and storage

Panamax has the best surge arresters on the market, protect your investment. Possibly add a battery back up to help protect any sensitive audio components you may have such as vintage HI FI, head end equipment, amplifier, audio players, media players, and game consoles
